How to Host a South of France Soirée
If you can't have a Eurosummer this year, bring Eurosummer to you
It’s that time of year when everyone seems to be having their “Eurosummer.” Instagram feeds are filled with Missoni dresses on the Riviera, rosé aperitifs in lavender fields, and 10:00 pm dinners in the fields of châteaux under twinkle lights. I was fortunate enough, as a content creator now with an incredible community, to get to spend a lot of the past month in the South of France. I don’t take that for granted. I remember the feeling of longing (and, to be honest, resentment) from when I was a lawyer - why did it feel like everyone in the world could take two months off to lounge in Provence or party in Saint-Tropez, while I was chained to my desk closing a brutal M&A deal in my corporate office?
I’ll spare you all the familiar (and true) comments on how social media is not real life, etc., because those lectures never helped me much either. Instead, I’ll show you how to bring the South of France to you at home so that, even if you’re chained to your desk six days out of the week this month, you can spend one living your own Eurosummer.
