I have a lot of happy places: Andalusia, France (basically anywhere in the country), a seat on the sunny terrace at my favorite breakfast spot in LA, the dressing room of my favorite vintage clothing shop (it’s Arcade, in case you haven’t already seen my 1,000 mentions of it), a seat in front of any fireplace. The Santa Ynez wine region is one of them. And when I find a happy place, I keep going back over and over again.

This is my guide to eating and drinking exceptionally well on a weekend in the Santa Ynez Valley. And, since I’ll keep going back, I’ll be updating it continuously.
